Re: Shutdown of mysqueezebox

All good now

The problem was caused by me configuring the network.yaml file

I sure it worked on Bookworm the last time I tried :(

Ah well!!

I don't know how many are aware of this, now scheduled for March 19th 2024 https://forums.slimdevices.com/forum/user-forums/general-discussion/1668327-uesmartradio-com-and-mysqueezebox-com-servers I thought about it this morning as I'm trying a new install of Squeezeplay on the Bookworm OS from Feb ...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

Well I can only think of this, which I have not tried on a legacy installation

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5141

I mostly use external sticks (for the OS) nowadays and a usb hub if I want to use an external usb DAC.

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

@dan1502

Have you set the audio outputs to direct external ?

Or maybe, after powering on the dac, cycle through the inputs ?

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

Hi @dan1502 In which mode are you using the Benchmark, USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 ? Which "latest operating system" are you using ? Are you using the Joggler internal ram or an external ram for the OS ? Please describe in detail how you start up and shut down both the Joggler and the Benchmark Do ...

@Paul Webster I have changed the LMS Streaming mode for HTTP(S) to Normal streaming I also changed the Joggler output to the buld in speaker "internal [Direct]" I have been playing it for about an hour or so now, with just a couple of short pauses for a little rebuffer. The following behav...

Early days yet :) One brief rebuffer but seems quite good, some tracks have album art, some dont (might just be an early streaming glitch) https://i.postimg.cc/wv8Bydxq/pepper1.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/8k3w3KCR/pepper2.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/htFnS12x/pepper3.jpg File Format: AAC Sample Rate: 44.1 ...

Re: Debian Bookworm for OpenFrame

I have been able to make it exit a lot ... too many times to be able to switch to SqueezePlay on Bookworm - this is because I am using it on my desktop as the primary test player when I am adding new stations to "Radio Now Playing". Can someone else confirm that it exists for them as well...

Re: Debian Bookworm for OpenFrame

I have this up and running with a Topping DX3 Pro dac attatched. I used https://www.jogglerwiki.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5141 and changed the version to squeezelite-1.9.9.1421-i686.tar.gz I tried to create the reboot/shutdown script from your Bullseye but without any success  ronnie

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

@stripwax Thanks for the feedback, I have corrected my typo   and can confirm your reboot/shutdown works on Bullseye :) The old SQpos had a "refresh" button if I remember correctly. sudo systemctl restart startx.service works for me, I see the Squeezeplay restart on the joggle...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

If you do as Mr Webster suggests and you still have playback problems (using the Joggler speakers or headphone jack) then, on the Joggler, go to Settings > Audio Settings > Audio Interface > and select Internal(Direct) as output. Then open a terminal and either sudo reboot or sudo systemctl restart ...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Ok, full reinstall of Bullseye (same version as before) and it seems to be much happier. Must have been something corrupted on the memory stick. Now Playing is working as it should. Having said that, BBC Sounds is not working for me. Does that work for you on both Bullseye AND Bookworm, or only on ...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

I would say, depends on usage

I was surprised to fid that Bookworm image allowed playback through the default audio output without reconfiguration

Both OS use their respective LTS kernels, so it's a bit "evens-Stevens"

Bookworm will also continue with updates for longer I guess

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Also tried Bookworm, actually I couldn't get wifi to work at all; the settings in my network.yaml seemed to be ignored entirely. Despite writing the correct network.yaml, all evidence seemed to be that it was still using the default YOURWIFINAME. What's the recommendation, persist with Bullseye (be...
