Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

@jkn

I just changed the output to "external", connected a ToneBoard Dac via usb, rebooted the joggler and music plays through the dac.

I guess it's at 96kHz ma

I'll try another dac which reports the input bit rate

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

I made a post earlier today that seems to have vanished into the ether :( Anyway, since then I have installed the new Debian Bullseye onto the internal ram of my "Betting Shop" Joggler. Installed Squeezeplay from the "of-nstall" list Installed LMS v 8.3.1 and added the 32 bit bin...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Pete, thanks for the work you have done on this. I used the Ubuntu stick approach https://i.postimg.cc/CM9jw736/Jivelite.jpg Plenty of space left :) Debian GNU/Linux comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY, to the extent permitted by applicable law. of@openframe:~$ df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mo...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Thanks for being supportive Pete, I'll look at those links over the weekend. My aim is to install Jivelite; I'm not bothered about Squeezeplay, maybe LMS also (I have the 32bit binaries). This is a snap of the error message if roobarb! gets time to look into the problem. The joggler just goes into a...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Thanks for all the info Pete. I'll try and find out why I get the "image not recognised" message. I think I read somewhere, that doing the "blind typing" exercise may restore things. I'm thinking of making an image on a usb stick, copying and shrinking it, give this image a hash ...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Has anyone managed to install the OS on the internal ram ?

I have a Cisco with the 2gb ram and would like to try it out.

I have tried using the "Reflash" but the install always fails with a message "image not recognised"

Any ideas ?

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Just to add that I have now managed to use the Local Player Plugin on LMS v8.3.1 (one has to build the binaries for Perl 32).

I need to refine the update procedure but it's working, using the in built speaker currently and Jivelite to control things. :)

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

SQUEEZELITE: I nstall Squeezelite on Joggler ; I use the default Debian Squeezelite, this gives me a configuration folder, amongst system ctl and stuff. If you want to use command line instructions for Squeezelite (or other config scripts, like Gerrelt's, then just install Ralphy.s from the start). ...

I have been able to sort this now, with all sources playing without stuttering. The key points are Keep /etc/asound.conf set to 44.1KHz, for compatibility with the majority of sources In the joggler player preferences on LMS, ensure that 'bitrate limiting' is set so that it transcodes the audio bef...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

My celebration was short lived unfortunately - after fixing the BBC sounds issue by changing the sample rate in asound.conf to 48KHz, I then tried Spotify and other services and they all exhibited the stutter instead! So it seems that BBC sounds works with the sample rate fixed at 48KHz and everyth...
