wrong power supply
moved house and lost the joggler power supply, so was using one from a virgin telly box... worked a treat it did. subsequently found the original power supply and asked the OH to pass it to me at the end of a long day. she handed me a linksys router power supply which i plugged in without batting an...

Re: New ICS build > mporting.com
Anyone managed to figure out how to get Netflix or Spotify up and running? Those two beauties (alongside Flash of course) would make my ICS experience complete. So glad someone figured out how to get ICS on the Joggler. Android devs are amazing. All devs are. Thanks for the efforts guys!

just a quick interjection to say i really appreciate the ork you guys do on stuff like this so that users like me (used to installing stuff and tinkering until it breaks, and then starting again, but not technically proficient) can benefit. the wife is really happy we have a working kitchen media ce...

Re: BUILD 2 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)
There won't be a prompt to reboot, you'll need to restart yourself. The cmd file just copies the files from the with hub folder to the root of the efi partition. You can do that from the machine you imaged the disk from. You may just need to experiment which port on the hub you're using. Or try a d...

Re: BUILD 2 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)
hi guys, finally moving from the nice but not too practical android ports to this wonderful xo image. boots fine directly, but will not boot with hub. have run with hub.cmd and waited for prompt to reboot, but no prompt occurs. if i copy the with hub files and shut down, plug hub in, and restart, it...

Re: New Android 2.2.2 Mijuu Build 1.2.4 + Google Apps + Twea
thanks for the response, it was worth the asking i suppose! i've followed cyanogenmod since cyanogenmod 3.6 for my trusty g1 and based my purchase of the zte blade on whether or not it was supported by the cyanogenmod community. even looking at the huawei u8800 next. keep it budget, that's why i hav...

Re: New Android 2.2.2 Mijuu Build 1.2.4 + Google Apps + Twea
given i have never developed for anything, i don't know how ridiculous my request is, but would it be at all possible to merge cyanogenmod with the latest joggler distro? how easy would this be? how long would it take me to learn?
also, official twitter app fc's on tweet send. annoying.

Re: New Android 2.2.2 Mijuu Build 1.2.4 + Google Apps + Twea
wait, newer build = buggier?! oh, i didn't think this one through...
how is the older build less buggy? in what way? just that it runs more apps? which of the earlier two versions? the initial one, or the initial with maps and working market?

Re: New Android 2.2.2 Mijuu Build 1.2.4 + Google Apps + Twea
thanks for the tips, appreciated. i'd done all of that though... i understand wmp should be acting as a media server, but it wasn't serving. i was getting frustrated until i noticed that (for reasons i have been unable to fathom) the music folder had restricted permissions, symbolised by a little go...

Re: New Android 2.2.2 Mijuu Build 1.2.4 + Google Apps + Twea
dwl99, thanks for taking the time to answer my questions...! at the risk of sounding idiotic, i only recently got windows 7 and i can't think of anything else to do to share my files. i'm not sure it is set to 'scan' my music folder, i can't find anywhere to scan files. my music folder is set as the...

Re: New Android 2.2.2 Mijuu Build 1.2.4 + Google Apps + Twea
windows media player is already set up to share my music, and there are no options in either upnplay or 2player that affect this. for example, i have shared my G:\ drive which has all my music and video stored on it. all the files and folders are shared. windows media player allows me to stream the ...

Re: New Android 2.2.2 Mijuu Build 1.2.4 + Google Apps + Twea
this is probably a daft question, but i can't for the life in me figure it out... both upnplay and 2player only detect one folder of music on my pc. i can't work out how to let the apps see all my music. any ideas as to where i'm going wrong? also, are there any decent video players that are compata...

Re: resizing windows in ubuntu
wow, quite a few options to try out, thanks guys. i splashed out a little bit on a BT mouse the other day (Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000). i used to have one with my old MSI Wind and it was pricey, but nice. saw it down from £50 to £20 at dixons and had to grab one for the laptop. will use ...

ah, that clears it up. you're right though, complete PITA. still, small sacrifices are in order. main thing is i can run it as a music server. i want another one now for the kitchen. can't justify it though!

resizing windows in ubuntu
at the risk of sounding rather stupid, is it possible to force menu screens to resize for the smaller screen resolution of the joggler? trying to navigate through the various screens is a matter of guess work and hit or miss. impossible to set up evolution to sync with gmail as i cannot see the navi...

hi all! jonny here. completely new to the world of the joggler, grabbed one off ebay after stumbling across the various joggler resources on the net. the wife took some convincing but with a freshly broken laptop, the idea of iplayer and video streaming in bed for the princely sum of £60 seemed to d...
