No noticble effects on boot time - still early days as far as ram usage if left running for long periods. But so far so good.

Re: Joggler eye candy

Yeah its a rock solid build - I'm using a usb attached hdd so not worried about wear out and expanded the c partition to 18GB so lots of room for tinkering. Even with all the eye candy gadgets the cpu just hovers around the 5% - bought for £49.99 over 2 years ago and its still keeps me entertained.....

Joggler eye candy

I was broswing for 800x480 wallpaper for the Joggler last night when I hit uppon an app for XP called rainmeter, which is a windows desktop skin/theme app. I download the Omnimo skin, which gives a metro look to the desktop perfect for the Joggler. I think it looks pretty good and runs well on Mevi'...

Re: XBMC 720p Playback

Does windows XBMC support the Joggler GPU? I've only ever had good HD video playback using Windows and and a player like media player classic that supports GPU other wise your always going to get CPU throttle on the Joggler especially when the video is streaming over the wireless as that will be usi...

And as with the Joggler there's the excellent community, which is part of the fun of these gadgets - boring when things just do everything you want out of the box :-)

Re: Any HP Touchpad owners?

android running in a card sounds attractive if performance is good - tried the alpha release but still away to go. If msn plugin comes out and kalem video player support upnp - I'd be very happy with WebOS - you using the uberkenel too?

Re: Any HP Touchpad owners?

yeah managed to grab a 32GB one, I'd imagine a lot of joggler users are also HUKD users so would expect a few picked a TP up. I think webOS is excellent - when ever I use a touch screen device now I lapse into swiping up to try and get back to the card view :-)

I've used clonezilla for imaging disks & partitions using images from a USB drive but never tried writing to USB attached, it runs in linux so might stand a chance. Clonezilla live version boots from a cd

Re: release: xp on joggler foshiz edition (image up)

Were you able to plug the 1.8" drive into a hub and utilize a mouse and keyboard to set it up? I tried and was unable to get it to boot. I could get it to boot though by itself and it was fast. This morning I am snapshoting the image over to a network drive; then writing the image over to the ...

Re: release: xp on joggler foshiz edition (image up)

I'm using a 1.8" 20GB tosh drive from a broken iriver h320 and speed is pretty good, looks like you get 380mb of free RAM with video card using 256MB?? Not sure how it works that - assumed they would add up to 512 with the video being shared... Wonder if other video drivers would allow the RAM ...

Great work Dan! - so far i've.. detached the 2nd screen that was being used and installed the brightness control. flash works great in chrome - performance within the UI appears many times better than the linux based distros. after a few mins play - the only major missing bits seem to be the externa...
