Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!
Therein lies the problem. It says browser not supported, but when I click on the link that says use the Google Play Store app, that's when I get the error message about the site being down. I cant find any pre-installed app, either..........

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!
OK, it loaded fine, and all seems well until I try to download any apps, whereupon I get the message "this browser is no longer supported", or "the website might be temporarily down or has been moved". Any ideas what might have gone wrong? How are you trying to download your app...

Just tried booting android after installing OpenPeak internally. Loaded fine! OK, it loaded fine, and all seems well until I try to download any apps, whereupon I get the message "this browser is no longer supported", or "the website might be temporarily down or has been moved"....

My brother-in-law, as he is now, had that machine. Playing Jet Pack Willy made the trips to the in-laws bearable. LOL.

Re: Best USB stick for Joggler?
Wasn't that long ago you paid that for 64MB. In fact, I'm not sure you could even get 64MB sticks when they first came out. Reminds me that I paid an extra £100 to get RAM upgrade from 4 to 8MB on my first desktop PC. It was so expensive, it was the family's chrimbo present from everybody to everybo...

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!
One of the things I like about SQPOS internal is how quickly it boots. I'd hate to see that compromised. Now we know the issue, it's no problem for me to install PnP or 30300, or whatever. I think we should leave roobarb in peace, since the new baby probably won't be! Congrats to roobarb, and thanks...

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!
Historically, I've always used Bootice to format my sticks, but on the last teo occasions, I followed your instructions to the letter. The sticks I am using are all 4GB, either Transcend generic or Sandisk Cruzer. I'm not leaving it to boot, because it doesn't even start: it keeps defaulting to the ...

Glad I'm not alone, though you may not see it that way. lolmikeywilliams wrote:My experience is exactly the same.
usb stick and joggler work fine on other distros but not this one.
Only see the two files and it refuses to boot.
@hawsey
The USB port is fine. SPQOS boots up OK in same machine in same port.

Hi castalla
All sorted! LMS on the Joggler is currently scanning for new media, and I can see all the files and folders in the /media/nas folder when I go in via WinSCP.
Many thanks for your help! Much appreciated!

Yes, did all that. They don't boot up: the Joggler simply boots up into the internal OS.

Format your stick first using the HP utilities tool , then write the image using Win 32 disc imager , link below , if I don't do exactly this every time my images fail to boot too :-) https://www.dropbox.com/sh/f2792g7f1e2kyfy/AAAtmggmM_rBzDuk1Rfi97kQa?dl=0 I've tried 4 different sticks (that all w...

Is this ICS distro PnP? Seems like it needs a bit of jogglery-pokklery, which I'm too stupid/tired/drunk to work out............

Hi gegs
Do you mean using Joggler from a USB stick running Android ICS? Like a non-portable mini tablet? I presume the lack of USB sound is driven by limitations in software/harware, and not by the lack of USB ports?

Somewhat belatedly, I'm adding my small but genuine and heartfelt thanks to this thread. Six months working in France has left me somewhat out of the loop. I got a lot of fun out of these units, as well as being able to use some of the functionality of PNPIII. Sadly, with the demise of the iPlayer a...
