Re: fitting/using an external I2S DAC rather than a USB one?

Hmm, I may have answered my own question. There doesn't seem to be any I2S reference on the STAC9202 datasheet... I think you would have to “steal” the signals from the appropriate pins of the STAC9202 or the component that is feeding the pin. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/I%C2%B2S Pins 4, 5,6 wo...

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

I made a fresh install today (porridge gives one get and go :) ). Installed Squeezeplay, commented out the line in /etc/fstab Then rebooted. Used squeezeplay for a short while then installed LMS v7.9.2 (this is an install for someone else). Opened the LMS web gui and installed a few plugins and the...

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

Hi Guys Being furloughed, I thought I would try and get some use out of the two Jogglers I have lying about so visited the forum to be pleasantly surprised that there is still some activity happening! I assumed Roobarb would have retired by now! :D Anyway, I am looking for some help. I would like to...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

So .... did you create a new mount point directory, eg. /mnt/music ? You have to do this as root user, eg. sudo mkdir /mnt/music I have encountered OS setups where the fstab entry doesn't work and where the full mount command needs to be used. But, unless you want to spend more time figuring out a ...

I created /mnt/hd1 as the mount point
Thank you Castalla!
I will give that a try when I get home.

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

I can advise about cifs for the fstab. You need to set up a mount directory using mkdir Do you have root access? Ok so I have looked into this a bit more. Roobarb's applet does write to Fstab, however the share doesn't mount. So I installed CIFS-utils and tried the line in Fstab for mounting with C...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

So as mentioned above, here are my two completed small LMS install packages for use with SqueezePlayOS, particularly for installation to the internal memory where space is very limited. There are two versions: v7.8.1 (reduced to 40MB download from 117Mb) and v7.9.0 (reduced to 45MB download from 12...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

First - check that you are using a valid ip address. The value you give in your post is incorrect. It should read 192.168.1.254 You don't need the name. You should be able to discover the path by using windows file explorer to navigate to the actual 'drive' - properties will show the values you nee...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

Hi Guys. So I seem to be having no success in mounting a share with Roobarb's inbuilt applet. The share is an unprotected hard drive that is on usb1 on my BTHub5 which has an IP address of 192.1681.254 Roobarb's applet is in 2 parts. The first part is the IP address and I presume that I enter it wit...

LMS Server on Joggler Internal Memory

Hi guys, I need to use one of my Jogglers purely as a LMS server on internal memory. What is the best lightweight base to use? I also need CIFS as NFS is not working for me to mount public shares. SqPOS is difficult to make work on internal memory with these constraints.
Any ideas?

Re: Fixing BBC iPlayer LMS Plugin

Is there any alternative script that I can try? I have the opml file on my C drive on my windows machine if that helps. You can copy the file to your Joggler using WinSCP. That's how I did it before roobarb posted his method. Thanks for the tip. It has taken me a couple of days to get up to speed w...
